Joshua Tan is a designer, emcee and lover of art. A Third Culture Kid born in Singapore and raised in Thailand and Malaysia, the 24-year-old is a recent graduate and valedictorian of the Mass Communication course at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
The alumni DJ of Radio Heatwave has emceed events like the 2014 FINA World Cup and National Young Leaders’ Day, done backstage audience hosting for MediaCorp shows like “Minute to Win It” and “The Final 1” and is slated to do sports presenting for the Southeast Asian Games 2015.
Josh now works as a Designer with ROHEI Corporation, an unconventional learning and development consultancy. In his free time, he loves sketching, typography and teaching an art class for the Y STARS, a group of amazing youth with Downs Syndrome.
He is currently working on a personal art project called the #OverTheShoulderSeries, where he cheekily hand-letters random text messages seen on the phones shoved in his face by fellow rush-hour commuters.
